NADA Protocol:

The NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) Protocol is a five-point ear acupuncture treatment developed in the 1970s at the Lincoln Detox clinic in the South Bronx. It was created as part of a community-based response to addiction and trauma, a story featured in the documentary Dope Is Death. Today, the protocol is used worldwide in addiction recovery, mental health, and trauma-informed care settings. Research supports its effectiveness in reducing stress, anxiety, and withdrawal symptoms—especially when used in collaboration with other therapies such as psychological counselling, behavioral treatment, or community support programs.
